We are all humans and the truth is - words hurt. Online hate needs to stop.
We might not be able to change the world, but together we might be able to change the world of somebody suffering.
Instead of suffering in silence, I decided to print what the haters say on a clothing range. Now maybe they will think twice before spouting hate online...

Let me introduce myself... My name is Mike Hind and welcome to the official website of .HATE
I'll just explain what this campaign/brand is all about and what it represents…
Over the past 10 years I have suffered at the hands of online trolls, haters and keyboard warriors, but over the past few years and most notably throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, it has got a lot worse.
It got to the stage where I closed my eyes on an empty road at 2am and drove my car at over 100mph. This led me to be on medication for mental health and caused so much pain and distress to my whole family.

The amount of hate I receive from online trolls often keeps me awake at night, it affects my family, my staff, my team and my mental health. I may have the blue tick and I may be in the public eye, but that doesn't mean I have to accept the harassment and bullying I get on a daily basis. I've had comments saying they wish I had crashed my car, people have wished harm on my children and family, people have made Facebook pages, YouTube accounts, even fake accounts on dating websites. Trolls/haters/keyboard warriors post their abusive and hurtful comments across social media channels with no consequences or thought for how it will affect someone's mental health, family, life or the impact these words have.

Well, the tables are about to turn…

A recent Facebook post from a media outlet in June 2021 brought home some dark feelings I have not felt for a long time. That night I didn't sleep a wink, I was wide awake racking my brains as to how I can make the online hate stop. Then it dawned on me, the truth is, no matter what we do or say, some people will always find the negative because they want us to fail. I know I am not alone and there are many others like me who suffer in silence but we shouldn’t have to just accept it.

After coming to terms with the fact that no matter what we say or do to block out these people, they are relentless in their mission to hurt another human being. Instead of suffering in silence I decided to create the brand 'FULL STOP 2 ONLINE HATE'

The brand .HATE has been set up to help bring communities together and to make people understand that hate happens and although we can't stop it right now, we might be able to stop it going forward and encourage people to stop suffering alone.
I decided instead of letting the comments made by these people upset me, I would print what they say as a quote on a clothing range... The logo of the brand is bold and very distinctive, and very much makes people look twice. The haters/trolls would hate to think that the comments they made with the intention of harming us, in fact allowed us to continue to do the things we love and help support others that are suffering.

The brand promise is that 25% from the sale of each garment will go towards charities, organisations or somebody who is in need of help and support.

This is your chance to stand united in our fight against bullies, trolls and online hate. We refuse to suffer in silence.
